RGB Laser Modules

A display that uses a laser as a light source combines red (638 nm), green (520 nm), and blue (450 nm) laser beams, which are the three primary colors of light. This makes it possible to achieve full-color rendering. In order to combine the laser beams, there is a method of using a collimating lens and a filter for the R, G, and B laser beams as a spatial coupling method and the method using an optical waveguide is common, but there were problems with miniaturization, optical loss, and cost reduction.

At our company, we have applied the high-precision mounting technology cultivated in optical communication product development technology to produce R, G, and B lasers with a spatial coupling method that does not use lenses. We have developed a technology that combines light and have achieved the world's smallest ultra-miniaturization (5 x 5.2 x t3.3 mm) and low cost.

In the spatial coupling method, the loss due to optical multiplexing can be minimized, so the product lineup ranges from low output to high output, and the retinal drawing method and Waveguide lens, which are considered promising in the future XR glass (AR glass) market. It is also possible to correspond to the application of the method.  

The RGB light multiplexed divergent beam light can be collimated by the customer using a single lens to obtain the optimum light source for Laser Beam Scanner (LBS) and illumination applications.
